Golder Associates is currently seeking an Entry Level Hydrogeologist for the Atlanta, Georgia office to work as part of the Environmental team on site investigation and assessment-related environmental projects. The position is to provide technical support for geochemistry, groundwater modeling, water quality studies, groundwater investigations, aquifer tests, and geologic logging/well installation. The position includes field work, data collection, analysis and interpretation, and assistance with preparing reports. Specific duties may include conducting and supervising geologic, hydrogeologic, and geotechnical investigations; collecting environmental, hydrogeologic, and bio-geochemical samples and data; field monitoring and logging the installation of test borings and groundwater wells; preparation of boring and well installation logs; preparing interpretations of subsurface and geologic profiles; data synthesis and evaluation; evaluation of geochemistry, numerical and analytical groundwater modeling; and assistance with the preparation of technical reports.
Job Requirements: This position requires an M.S. or Ph.D in hydrogeology and experience in the civil/environmental/hydrogeologic field. Qualified candidates are required to demonstrate academic or consulting experience in one or more of the following areas: aquifer test analysis and interpretation, groundwater flow and contaminant fate and transport analysis, geochemical data analysis, statistical evaluation of groundwater data, and/or geologic mapping/logging. Excellent verbal and written communication skills combined with leadership ability and willingness to travel as dictated by project demands. Strong computer skills, including ArcGIS, Microsoft Excel, Access, Chemstat, MODFLOW, etc. preferred.
