We are currently seeking an entry-level Geologist to support geologic and geotechnical programs throughout the Southeast, US and Canada. Overall responsibilities include:

  • Perform aquifier testing (e.g. pump tests, slug tests, etc.) and groundwater flow evaluations to refine site conceptual models;

  • Perform subsurface field geologic exploration tasks including drilling and test pit explorations;

  • Perform soil, soil vapor, groundwater and surface water sampling;

  • Perform data compilation, report writing and other related duties to support a project team;

Office work will include GIS data analysis, database management, and geologic/hydrogeologic research.

Job Requirements:

If you possess the following skills and attributes we invite you to apply:

  • A Masters Degree in Geology or Hydrogeology;

  • Eligible for PG licensure;

  • You will spend over 50% of your time performing field work in a variety of terrain and weather conditions;

  • You will have the ability to routinely lift and physically maneuver heavy equipment and/or samples;

  • Excellent communication and writing skills, with demonstrated report writing skills;

  • You will work in a team atmosphere, and be self-motivated with ambition.

Preferred Skills and Training

  • Knowledge of EQuIS, ChemStat, gINT software programs and database management

  • Familiarity working within the parameters of various Federal, State and local environmental regulations and programs.

  • Prior possession of 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training certification and associated annual refreshers is preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency using GIS;

  • Possession of a passport valid for travel outside the United States.

  • CPR/First Aid training.
