Golder Associates Inc. is currently seeking a Environmental Engineer/Scientist Intern for the Houston, TX location. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Provide support on a variety of environmental compliance, regulatory permitting, and site remediation projects;
Assist with environmental investigations, collect environmental data, prepare technical reports, and complete permit applications and other regulatory documents;
Assist with SPCC Plans, SWPPPs, Phase I ESAs, and other environmental plans and documents involving air quality, water management, and waste management; and
All other duties as assigned.
The preferred candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
Enrolled at a credited university in pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Civil, Geotechnical Engineering, or another related field with current standing as a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior.
Previous intern or co-op experience a plus but not required.
Valid state-issued driver’s license.
Good communication and writing skills.
Strong interpersonal communication skills and team oriented attitude.
Willing to perform field work of short to medium-term duration at project locations in the area and participate in training/project assignments of short duration in other Golder offices in the region.
Local candidate preferred; no relocation provided.
