Golder Associates Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our team in Mount Laurel, NJ. In this role you will join a team with responsibility for preparing contractor procurement packages, perform both site and office duties related to oversight of contractors, contract administration, safety awareness, interfacing with engineering and quality control teams, schedule monitoring and performance tracking. You will have opportunities to support a variety of projects, including: environmental remediation, earthworks, landfill services, and civil works.
Duties may include:
Preparation of construction bid documents;
Manage construction/contracting projects involving construction management and observation, cost estimating and scheduling, field studies, submittal reviews, contractor payment application reviews, and report preparation;
Chairing weekly meetings and recording minutes;
Interaction with clients, regulatory agencies, engineers and construction contractors;
Supporting others across the nation in conducting and managing contracting projects; and
Assisting with business development and preparing proposals related to contracting/construction management opportunities.
Our ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:
BS/BA in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field;
A minimum of 3 years of construction experience required;
PMP certification strongly desired;
Performance tracking and progress reporting experience required;
Experience using Microsoft Office suite is required;
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal);
Candidates with an engineering or construction background preferred;
Must work well in a team environment, and have an energetic approach to working with others.
