Job Responsibilities:

Golder Associates Inc. is currently seeking a Field Technician/Construction Inspector for the Redmond, Washington office. This individual will be responsible for conducting geotechnical field monitoring including construction special inspection, geologic exploration, groundwater well installation, and other related tasks.

Job Requirements:

Requirements:

A BS in engineering, construction management, physical science, geology, or related field strongly preferred but not required. Candidates with equivalent experience will be considered. A minimum of 3 years of job-related experience is recommended. This position requires knowledge of general construction or the ability to quickly learn procedures including; reading grading plans, understanding mass grading requirements, and being able to classify soils. This position also requires experience with logging soil in support of geotechnical investigations, well installation, groundwater level measurement, and related tasks. The successful candidate may also have the opportunity to support environmental site assessment activities including, soil and groundwater sampling, pre-demolition surveys, and related tasks.

Position requires reliable transportation to travel to and from job sites and a good driving record. Successful candidate must enjoy the outdoors and working in all weather conditions. Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting and carrying 75+ pounds is required (often over rough uneven ground). Some travel to out of area job sites may be required. Candidate must possess accurate computational, critical thinking and analysis skills; must write and/or print clearly; must be able to write clear and concise daily summary reports; must be available for some weekend work and have knowledge of basic computer applications (Word, Excel, etc.). OSHA 10 Hour Construction Training, 40 Hour HAZWOPER, First Aid/CPR, and Nuclear Gauge Safety training preferred.
