Job Location: Golder Associates Inc. – 1575 Treat Blvd., Suite 100, Walnut Creek, California, USA 94598

Develop pipeline projects, define scope of work and prepare requests for proposals. Review terrain for potential pipeline routes and develop alternatives for consideration including desktop studies and field surveys. Conduct site visits and route reconnaissance when required by the project. Prepare pipeline construction, engineering and project cost estimates. Perform engineering to specify and size pipeline equipment including pumps, control valves, regulators, relief valves, pipe and other associated process equipment. Coordinate and oversee field investigation to support pipeline construction planning including topographical survey crews, geotechnical investigation teams and environmental studies. Write technical reports. Develop detailed engineering packages and participate in the design efforts oil, gas, slurry, tailings and other pipeline system projects. Manage small to mid-size projects up to $10MM in total installed cost.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Earth Science, Engineering or a related field and

3 years of experience in the job offered or in the oil, gas, mining or other process oriented industry. Stated experience must include:

  • field experience with a long distance (more than 100 Kilometers) pipeline construction project in either the engineering design/field investigation or construction phase;

  • Horizontal Directional Drilling Inspection experience on a minimum of 4 jobs;

  • experience developing estimates for linear construction projects (estimates must have taken into account construction sequencing, material sourcing and installation for large scale projects);

  • 49CFR part 192, ASME B31.8 and ISA standards;

  • developing P&ID, BOMs, sizing pipeline equipment;

  • gas pipeline midstream or downstream;

  • Scada systems; and,

  • MS Office including Excel.
