Golder’s Atlanta , GA office is seeking to hire an Entry-Level Civil Engineer or Water Resources Engineer to join our Natural Resources Team. In this role you will provide support for civil and environmental engineering projects in the government, mining, power, waste and oil/gas sectors.
Responsibilities willtypically include:
Assistwith the designs of dams and water retaining structures, including but notlimited to hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, geotechnical analyses, damdesign, and dam rehabilitation design.
Design of hydrological and hydraulic infrastructure forsurface water management, including assessments, analyses, calculations,mitigation, and related technical engineering concepts.
Preparationof design drawings, regulatory permit documents, and technicalspecifications.
Assistwith dam safety inspections.
Performfield activities either individually or as part of a team that may includethe collection of field data, instrumentation monitoring, observation ofconstruction activities, implementing health and safety procedures, andoversight of related subcontractor services and other field related activities;
Assistwith the development and distribution of field notes, meeting minutes,project action item lists, internal tracking of projects activities, andgeneral project coordination activities in support of project managers.
Attendproject meetings and contribute in meeting the requirements and deadlinesassociated with design documents, regulatory permits and construction activities.

B.S. in Civil orEnvironmental Engineering from an accredited program. An M.S. in a waterresources or related civil engineering discipline is preferred.
EIT is preferred. Golderexpects that the successful applicant will pursue registration as aProfessional Engineer (PE).
0 – 3 years ofexperience in an engineering-related field.
Fluency in commonsoftware such as Microsoft Office Suite, with preferred exposure to GIS orCivil 3D, HEC-RAS and HEC-HMS programs and other data analysis tools.
Strong written andverbal communication skills, as well as excellent analytical capabilities.
Willingness to regularlyperform field assignments.
Willingness to travel.Golder’s global network of offices allows for opportunities to work on projectslocally, nationally and globally. We often have pressing needs for staff toassist clients on national and international projects, and travel to assist onthese assignments may be required.
Ability to lift andcarry field equipment up to 50 pounds.
