Golder’s Atlanta, GA office is seeking to hire a Project Coordinator to join our Natural Resource Team. In this role you will provide support to Project Managers executing a wide range of Engineering and Environmental projects. The Project Controller’s primary role is to work closely with project managers to ensure that all budgeting, scheduling, invoicing and coordination processes are executed efficiently.

Responsibilities will typically include:

  • Assist with project setups by developing executable Work Breakdown Structures that are aligned with the project schedule, cost control and earned value analysis.

  • Develop a baseline schedule with resource loading, analyze critical path and maintain schedule control.

  • Track budgets and expenditures.

  • Analyze cost variances and performance metrics (EV, SPI and CPI).

  • Reconcile accounting information with Excel based Project Controls tools.

  • Work closely with project managers and discipline leads to support project delivery.

  • Ensure projects are executed in accordance with Golder’s quality management system and health and safety policies / procedures.

  • Produce regular project progress reports for clients, project team, and other internal and external stakeholders.

  • Assist with the generating and distribution meeting minutes, project action item lists and internal tracking of projects activities.

  • Interface with the accounting team to set up invoicing requirements and produce invoices as well as assisting with facilitation of timely payment.

  • Contribute to proposal efforts.

Qualification, Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field. PMP certification would be a plus.

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience within an engineering, construction and / or consulting firm.

  • Proficiency in the use of project scheduling software, i.e. Primavera-P6 and Microsoft Projects is required.

  • Experience with earn value, schedule performance index and cost performance index analysis.

  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Understanding of Critical Path Method Scheduling, including resource loading and leveling.

  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate with project team members and client, as well as interact with multiple team members on multiple tasks.
