Golder is seeking a dynamic ProposalSpecialist to support the growth of our North American business. Located in our Jacksonville or Tampa office and reporting to our North American Marketing and Proposal Team Lead, the Proposal Specialist will work closely with Southeast regional and North American staff and colleagues to develop and deliver a strategic approach to winning business.

As a member of the North American Proposal Team , the Proposal Specialist will directly contribute to proposals pursuits, request for information, presentations, and other client-centric responses. The role also includes win strategy planning, capture planning, development and post-submission efforts for service or industry-based bids in response to local, regional, national, or global requests, as needed. In this role, the Proposal Specialist will also be a gatekeeper of proposal content online, and an advocate for promoting the proposal team’s best practices, tools and policies. This may include being the main contributor to location-specific content.

The Proposal Specialist will be client-focused, have strong relationship building skills, a strong work ethic with a positive attitude as well as project management and communication capabilities for an internal and external client base. This person will also be effective and motivated working remotely as part of the larger proposal team, or individually, as required.

Responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Review/analyze in-bound proposal requests (such as RFP, RFQ, EOI, SOA,etc.), and develop proposal structure and contents to address these

  • Plan and coordinate proposal tasks, from initial Go/No go and kick-offmeeting to proposal delivery and post-submission follow-up

  • Assess and execute proposal win strategy and compile internalintelligence such as history with the client for proposal decisions

  • Compile, edit, and write standard proposal components in adherence torequirements; compiling disparate content elements from a distributed group ofauthors into a cohesive and responsive proposal document

  • Perform and delegate proposal tasks, and ensure proposal schedules aremaintained and met

  • Assist with proposal budgets and other technical sections, as required

  • Adapt existing resumes, project descriptions and boilerplate information

  • Review final/deliverable documents for quality assurance and qualitycontrol

  • Facilitate short-list interview strategy and develop presentations

  • Assist with internal and external proposal debriefs and other proposalclose-out activities

  • Assist staff in developing capture plans for business opportunities andleads

  • Act as a subject matter expert for Golder’s proposal process and toolsand participate in the development of such

  • Contribute to the generation, collection, dissemination, and storage ofrelated proposal information

  • Effectively communicate with proposal teams and colleagues, as well asother stakeholders

  • Report on proposal metrics as required

  • Support and contribute to North American Proposal Team initiatives andactivities, and ad-hoc requests

  • Thinkand act for the company’s best interest and sustainability; actively promoteGolder and support Golder Core Values

  • Periodic travel betweenoffices may be required.

The successful candidate will possess the following skillsand qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degreein journalism, marketing, corporate communications, business, orrelated discipline

  • Aminimum of 4 years’ relevant experience

  • Strongverbal and written communication skills in English are a must

  • Attentionto detail and proofreading/grammar skills

  • Excellentinterpersonal skills

  • Superbteam player able to excel in a multi-task, deadline-driven environment

  • Abilityto work overtime and under pressure to meet deadlines

  • ProjectManagement skills (prioritizing, scheduling, follow up, etc.)

  • Proficientin Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Proficientin Adobe InDesign and Acrobat is desirable.

  • Experiencewith Customer Relationship Management tools (CRM)

  • Experiencein the professional services consulting industry (engineering and sciences anasset), with an emphasis on proposal management and/or writing

  • Experienceworking on Federal Government and Public Works proposals would be considered astrong asset

  • Experienceworking with both internal and external client groups, and distributed(virtual) proposal teams

  • Comfortableworking and interacting at all levels in a multidisciplinary environment
