Golder Associates Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia .
The ideal candidate will:
Oversee and independently manage projects and project tasks.
Mentor, develop and manage junior professional and technical staff.
Conduct geotechnical investigations, analyses and report preparation.
Utilize broad background in soil and rock mechanics, together with experience in geotechnical and mining engineering applications to design shallow and deep foundations, retaining walls, landslide mitigations, and soil and rock slope stabilizations.
Perform and encourage team participation in regular business development activities, including publishing papers, poster presentations, and platform presentations related to maintaining and growing Golder’s business and reputation.
Leverage your past experiences and knowledge to become a respected technical and business leader within Golder in your areas of technical expertise.
Support the growth of the Atlanta office, focusing on providing innovative, cost effective and technically sound consulting, design, project management, and construction support to existing clients, owners, construction contractors, and teaming partners.
Support strategic business and market planning.
Maintain Golder’s commitment to project technical excellence, client service, health and safety, and sustainability at the forefront of all work activities.
Responsible for preparing project proposals, managing projects, and interfacing directly with clients.
Must have a minimum of ten (10+) years of civil/geotechnical engineering experience and a proven business development track record;
Must have a Masters or higher degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering;
Must have a Professional Engineering license in the US and/or be able to attain licensure within 1 year.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Excellent project management skills and leadership ability; and
Availability and willingness to travel, mostly in the eastern United States but occasionally including extended assignments throughout the world.
The qualified candidiate should have a track record of leading teams to excute GDOT geoteh projects; and
Client relations and development skills to develop the business.
