Golder has an opportunity for a part time Senior Project Manager to join our practice in our Atlanta, Georgia office

Responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Support the continued strategic development of Golder’s Federal practice across the US and Europe.

  • Primary focus will be on capturing and delivering environmental, geotechnical, permitting and/or other engineering design services from Federal customers in either a prime or subcontractor role.

  • Evaluation of Golder’s relationships and effectiveness with Small Business Enterprises will be required.

  • Advancement of Golder’s Federal oriented marketing literature, certifications, registrations, compliance, and reporting will be a job duty. Proven experience working in the following technical areas :

  • Environmental Reporting-Liability/Loss Prevention

  • Environmental Soil and Groundwater Sampling Procedures

  • Underground Storage Tank Regulations

  • Groundwater Assessment and Analysis

  • Sampling and Evaluating Airborne Asbestos Dust

  • Remediation Technology Selection and Implementation

  • Management of Ordnance and Explosives at CTT Ranges

  • Implementation of NEPA


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Geology and minimum of 25 years of experience working in the Federal Sector

  • Proven experience managing large complex contracts across the US and/or Europe

  • Documented success in obtaining approval of environmental engineering studies and/or projects of significant scale across the US and/or Europe

  • Experience with the management of A/E and MATOC contracts with Cost Reimbursement, Time & Material and FFP Task Orders

  • DOD information assurance awareness

  • Demonstrated experience managing large single projects and/or multiple projects with budgets in excess of $1M US in professional fees

  • Proven ability to work seamlessly with international staffing, regulators, senior client representatives, multiple internal offices, and sub-contractors (including construction contractors)

  • Ability to demonstrate contracting experience in the Federal Sector including pricing, terms and conditions negotiation, tax implications, mobility limitations, safety, security, and project logistics

  • Ability to travel around US and to Europe to accomplish marketing, project, and/or management tasks

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex schedules

  • Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English

  • Knowledge of government estimate procedures and writing scopes of work

  • Knowledge of Corps of Engineers financial management system

  • Knowledge of Environmental Assessments, Environmental Baseline Studies, Risk Assessments, Remedial Actions, HTRW, RCRA, CERCLA, SARA, and TSCA
