Golder Associates Principal Geotechnical Engineer in Auckland, New Zealand

Due to continued growth, Golder requires a Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join our dynamic Ground Engineering Group base in our Auckland office.
Key responsibilities will consist of the following:
Deliver best practice consulting services to clients, based in Auckland on projects in New Zealand.
Technical Leadership primarily for projects in infrastructure and land development.
Providing support to other client sectors, such as contaminated land, waste and oil/gas.
Technical Reviewer fostering technical quality of deliverables.
Manage key clients developing strategy, technical service offerings and significant business opportunities.
Contribute to office strategy and direction as a key senior member of staff.
Leadership of project teams on consulting assignments.
Project management, budgeting and quality control for consulting assignments.
Embrace and lead our strong H&S culture.
Participate in industry groups and/or expert panels as part of maintaining high industry profile.
Liaise with specialists from other disciplines or offices with Golder Associates.
Mentor and coach junior through to senior staff with respect to their career growth and professional development.
Participate in the national and global Golder Technical Geotechnical Community within projects or other forums such as teleconferences and web sites.
Golder’s key technical requirements for this position will include:
A broad geotechnical engineering background.
Significant experience within a consultancy environment, particularly within New Zealand.
Proven ability to manage and develop client relationships, projects and project teams.
Strong interpersonal communication, influencing, motivational and conceptual thinking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Minimum Bachelor Civil/Geotechnical Engineering degree.
Post-graduate degree highly regarded.
Possess or eligible to register for CPEng with Engineers New Zealand.
