Golder has a new opportunity for an experienced Principal level EnvironmentalEngineer/Scientist to join our Contaminated Sites team on a full-time basis based in Auckland . You will be responsible for leading the group and working with driven professionals across multi-disciplines to deliver a wide variety of contaminated land projects in Auckland and across NZ.

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Manage clients’ projectsincluding project scoping, budget control, planning, development ofschedules and coordination of resources

  • Develop and maintain clientrelationships

  • Conduct contaminated sitesinvestigations and remediation programs

  • Lead project focused teamsin delivery of a range of contaminated sites projects

  • Manage environmental duediligence and compliance reviews

  • Plan, design and implementremediation programs

  • Collaborate on projects withother disciplines

  • Prepare technicaldeliverables and proposals

  • Understand and interpret thenational and local market, highlighting prospects and stewarding them toopportunities and proposals

  • Mentor and coach more juniorstaff with respect to their career growth and technical professionaldevelopment

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in anappropriate discipline such as environmental science, environmentalengineering, geology, or earth science

  • Minimum 10-15 years ofrelevant environmental consultancy or industry experience.

  • Registered Chartered orCertified Professional, or a willingness to work towards chartered orcertified status and a member of a related professional body preferable;

  • Proficient projectmanagement skills including budgeting and scheduling activities;

  • Strong time managementability;

  • Extensive field and siteexperience with strong health and safety focus;

  • High level of verbal andwritten communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills;

  • Advanced analytical andproblem solving skills; and

  • Good understanding andapplication of contaminated sites investigation methods and legislation
