Golder has a new opportunity for a ProjectArchaeologist to join our Central Operations team in a Full-Time position at our Bismarck, North Dakota office. Reporting to the GroupLeader .
Yourprimary responsibilities will include:
Perform and oversee archaeologicalprojects, fieldwork, and regulatory permitting projects in ND.
Produce and review reports.
Retrieveand compile data for resource management reports, presentations, exhibits, etc.
Review and edit complex technicaldocuments for a full range of various cultural resources projects.
Maintain databases, forms, maps,and files.
Interface with clients,regulators, and Golder staff to meet task, schedule, and budgetrequirements.
Perform data entry related toarcheological artifact and project data (e.g., artifact information,catalog records, field notes, site records, etc.) into automated systems,appropriate forms, and archival records.
Act as the main point of contactwith external clients in relation to project deliverables, potentialproblems, and managing client expectations.
Provide leadership andindependence in scheduling, prioritization, and completion of work tasksfor the Bismarck office.
Coach and mentor others withrespect to their career growth and professional development.
Masters’degree in Archaeology, and/or Anthropology.
Minimumof 5 years of experience in the environmental consulting industry with a widerange of field methodologies, including archaeological survey, prehistoric andhistoric site identification, documentation and assessment, testing, andmonitoring in the northern plains.
Atleast one-year CRM supervisory experience and experience in a projectmanagement role.
Experiencewith collection of field data, site recording, digital photography, artifactidentification, GPS data collection, and mapping.
Demonstratedexperience in archaeological fieldwork supervision and the ability to observeand instruct others in good and efficient field methodology in a high pacedenvironment.
Experiencewith oil and gas projects, including pipelines.
Workingknowledge of the Secretary of the Interior’ Standards and Guidelines forArcheology and Historic Preservation and familiarity with the survey guidelinesfor Northern Plains States.
Detailoriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines on fast-paced projects.
Strongskills in data analyses and technical report writing.
