Golder has a new opportunity for a CivilEngineer to join our team in Bristol, PA or Mount Laurel, NJ on a fulltime basis.

Responsibilities of the rolewill include:

  • Execute and field manage solid waste construction quality assuranceprojects, with senior technical advice and review;

  • Prepare construction documentation and investigation reports;

  • Prepare engineering calculations and conduct modeling;

  • Serve as a resident engineer / site lead for construction qualityassurance;

  • Ability to work with a team or with minimal supervision, and withcontractors and cross-discipline in-house designers;

  • Be willing and able to work on projects involving landfills and otherlined structures, underground facilities, and other civil applications;

  • Assist with writing proposals, reports, cost estimating, specifications,and permit documents with senior technical advice and review.

The successful candidatewill have a background in:

  • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering with an emphasis insoil mechanics, hydraulics and hydrology.

  • Prior experience, including internships, on active landfill constructionprojects or civil engineering related projects are a plus.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills combined withexcellent analytical abilities, leadership ability, and a positive attitude;

  • Ability to work both independently and within groups;

  • Competence in the Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, andPowerPoint) is necessary;

  • Competence with AutoCAD software platform is preferred;

  • Ability to obtain EIT within 2 years required.

Qualified candidates will have excellent technical competency and skills to perform:

  • Storm water flow and retention calculations;

  • Construction project scheduling and estimating;

  • Survey and topographic mapping; and

  • Pumping and piping design calculations.
