Golder has a new opportunity for a ProjectCoordinator to join our team on a fulltime basis based in either Vancouveror Kelowna . The position will include involvement with delivering technically challenging ground engineering, mining, water resource, and environmental remediation projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Communicating with the project team toassist with the monitoring and control of budgets and schedules

  • Providing timely updates on projectcontrols, progress and forecasting trends to the Project Manager

  • Collecting, inputting, managing andpresenting project cost tracking data

  • Liaising with subcontractors andsuppliers and providing assistance with preparation of subcontractor workorders and invoicing payments

  • Creating and updating project budgetsand schedules and flagging issues to project manager

  • Identifying the need for change orders

  • Reviewing team resourcing requirementsand preparing basic work orders when international staffing requirements arenecessary

  • Interacting with clients as required byProject Managers

  • Ensuring project files are kept up todate using specified document control system

  • Assisting with proposal writing andcoordinating contributors to proposals as needed

The preferred candidate will possess the following skills andattributes:

  • Degree or Diploma incivil, environmental, geotechnical or similar programs

  • Basic knowledge of project management principlesand PMI’s Body of Knowledge

  • Excellent organizational skills (prioritizing, timemanagement, record keeping, follow up etc.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines, manageconflicting priorities, and work well under pressure in a rapidly changingenvironment

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to learn processes quickly andprioritize client requirements;

  • Strong team player, self-motivated andproactive thinker

  • Excellent computer skills, includingknowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and Adobe Acrobat Software
