Golder Associates Equipment Services Technician (Entry-Level) in BURNABY, British Columbia

Golder has a new opportunity for an EquipmentServices Technician (Entry-Level) to join our team on a full-time basis based in South Burnaby . Your role as an entry-level technician consists of maintaining, tracking, and distributing technical equipment. You will also carry out accurate and efficient billing of equipment and will receive direction from senior team members.

An overview of yourrole will include:

  • Mobilizationand demobilization of field equipment and supplies for local and out of townfield programs

  • Maintaining,calibrating, and repairing equipment

  • Shippingand receiving domestic and international shipments

  • Maintainingand tracking equipment in the appropriate database (records management)

  • Samplesinventory management: data entry and disposal

  • Communicatingeffectively with internal clients who include field staff, project managers,and external suppliers

  • Adheringto Occupational Health and Safety Protocols

  • Facilityand yard upkeep

You will have abackground in:

  • Excellentcustomer service skills to support both internal and external clients

  • Strongorganizational skills and attention to detail

  • Proficienttime management and prioritization skills

  • Technicaland mechanical proficiency

  • Aptitudefor learning new detailed oriented skills (i.e. calibration of scientificequipment)

  • Pleasant,respectful, and discrete manner; positive attitude and takes initiative

  • Abilityto learn processes quickly and be flexible in changing circumstances

  • Verbaland written communication skills which meet client needs

  • Knowledgeof Microsoft Office Suite software

  • Strongteam player

  • Demonstratesproblem solving skills and ability to prioritize workload

  • Abilityto work with minimal supervision to achieve given goals and tasks

  • ValidBC driver’s license

This is an entry-levelrole, but the following experience is considered an asset:

  • Experiencein a logistics or coordination role

  • Shippingand receiving experience (domestic & international) including TDGexperience

  • FirstAid training

  • Forkliftexperience and ticket

  • Knowledgeof process improvement techniques

  • Diplomaand/or relevant Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent
