Golder has a new opportunity for a Geo-EnvironmentalProject Manager to join and provide leadership to our Environmental Remediation team on a full-time basis based in Calgary. The Geo-Environmental Consultant will work with our Geo-Environmental Team, which consists of professional geoscientists, engineers, environmental specialists and technicians.

An overview of yourrole will include:

  • Provideleadership in the growth of a dynamic environmental services practice for theAlberta and Prairies and North Operation (PNO) regional market

  • Implementationof Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, remediation, and groundwatermonitoring programs, as well as business development and leading client liaisonand development initiatives for the PNO Geo-Environmental team

  • Workon a wide range of contaminated sites, geology/hydrogeology projects and other relatedenvironmental duties as required

  • Beinvolved at all stages of the site assessment and remediation processes,including characterization and remediation of contaminated sites (includingdesign and implementation of remedial strategies) and regulatory liaison.Familiarity with the regulatory environment in Alberta is an asset

  • Provideleadership in business development and developing client relationships forclients in Alberta

  • Liaisewith Golder staff external to Calgary or Edmonton, to share with, and assist asrequired

  • Travelnationally or internationally when required to conduct project work

  • Demonstratinga “Safety-First” focus and acting as a role model to other staff

  • Maintaininga high standard of behaviour to uphold Golder’s reputation and demonstrating acommitment to our Core Values

  • Providesupport to senior staff

  • Performingother tasks as required

You will have abackground in:

  • Bachelor’sdegree in Geology or Hydrology, Civil, Geotechnical or EnvironmentalEngineering

  • Academicqualifications which give the candidate eligibility for professionalregistration in Alberta (P.Geo or P.Eng.)

  • 5to 10 years of relevant experience

  • Strongteam player – ability to work with all levels of an organization

  • Detailoriented with a focus on quality of work

  • Highlyeffective verbal and written communication skills

  • Flexibilityto work extra hours and for business travel when required

  • Musthave a valid driver’s license

  • Mustbe fit to wear a respirator

  • Mustbe able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
