Golder has a new opportunity for an Intermediate Fish Biologist to join our Biophysical team on a full-time basis based in Edmonton, Calgary or Saskatoon.

An overview of your role will include:

  • Working with multi-disciplinary teams and developing positive working relationships in a team environment

  • Participation in environmental impact assessments for various types of developments including power, mines, oil and gas facilities, and pipelines

  • Leading or assisting with field programs in aquatic ecology (e.g., fish and fish habitat data, collection of water quality/quantity, benthic invertebrates, etc.)

  • Preparing quality written material on time, within scope, and within budget

  • Data interpretation and statistical analyses

  • Participation in Golder and client health and safety programs

  • Mentoring staff

  • Interacting with clients and representatives from regulatory agencies

You will have abackground in:

  • Universitydegree in Environmental Sciences with a minimum of a M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree withfour years of experience, or a B.Sc, degree with six years of experience

  • Strongtechnical writing, analytical, communication, and project management skills

  • Experiencedesigning and leading fish and fish habitat studies/assessments

  • Workingknowledge of aquatic ecosystems and fish ecology within western and northernCanada

  • Strongoutdoor skills, experience working in remote areas, and experience withoperating boats and motors
