Golder has a new opportunity for a Seasonal Biological Technician to join our Biophysical team. This position is based in Northern Alberta, Saskatchewan or Manitoba. The position will be an hourly contract from May – September, 2018 with the possibility of extension.

An overview of your role will include:

  • Leading wildlife construction monitoring surveys and implementing mitigation (i.e, migratory bird nest surveys, amphibian surveys, amphibian mitigation and relocation)

  • Working individually or within a team to conduct field work

  • Participate in Golder and Client Health and Safety programs and policies

The preferred candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience conducting migratory bird surveys

  • Experience with digital data collection and data management is desired

  • Construction monitoring experience is an asset

  • Willingness to travel and participate in field work away from home

  • Work locations are within western Canada and ability to adapt to unpredictable and/or inclement field conditions and changing schedules is required

  • Effective communication skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, team-oriented

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Valid First Aid
