We are currently seeking a Project Manager to join our team in Edmonton . Our Environmental Services team is dedicated to performing environmental site assessments, site characterization, remediation and reclamation services on client sites across Alberta .
Responsibilities include :
Participationin a team environment, working closely with Project coordinators, other ProjectManagers, Senior Project Directors/Technical Leads and FieldTechnicians/Scientists/Engineers
PreparingHealth and Safety plans and Emergency response plan
Preparationof proposals and cost estimates
Schedulingof field staff and subcontractors
Compiledata for reports
Reportwriting including preparing conclusions and recommendations
Projectaccounting, tracking and reporting requirements to the terms of reference underGolder’s Master Services Agreements
Trainingjunior staff in environmental practices including Phase I and II ESAs,drilling, surveying, groundwater sampling, oversight of remediation etc.
Trainingother Golder staff on site specific health and safety
Interfacewith clients to ensure needs are met and projects/proposals are moving forward- Work with other members of the team to ensure provision of the supportnecessary for completion of projects
Workwith and provide support to other members of the Contaminated Sites ManagementGroup in sharing health and safety, project management, project completion andclient service responsibilities
The preferred candidate will possess thefollowing skills and attributes :
Universitydegree in engineering or natural/earth sciences
Minimum5 years of experience in contaminated site assessments and conceptual sitemodels
Soundunderstanding of the need for health and safety procedures in theworkplace/Possess a safety conscious attitude
Ananalytical mind; someone who is able to make recommendations on the next stepsfor client sites
Strongfield experience and willingness to work in the field on projects as needed
Abilityto work patiently with and help train less experienced team members
Stronginterpersonal, communication and key judgment skills
Understandingof the Alberta Environmental regulations such as Tier 1 and Tier 2 guidelines,
P.Eng.or P.Geo. designation is preferred.
