Golder Associates Reclamation Field Technician in EDMONTON, Alberta

Golder has a new opportunity for a Reclamation Field Technician to join our team in Edmonton . Golder Associates’ remediation and reclamation services team is dedicated to providing Environmental Site Assessments, Remediation, and Reclamation services for upstream and downstream oil and gas sites in Western Canada.

An overview of your role will include:

  • Supervising the execution of surface reclamation projects as the Prime Contractor with subcontractors operating heavy equipment

  • Reconciling buried facilities prior to completing ground disturbance activities

  • Ensuring sites are contoured to match the surrounding landscape, and that subsoil and topsoil are redistributed appropriately

  • Working with subcontractors to ensure the execution of site maintenance activities is completed in an efficient and effective manner

  • Completing Detailed Site Assessments

  • Maintaining relationships with landowners and tenants, the Alberta Energy Regulator and clients to achieve closure of former oil and gas sites

  • Working within an interdisciplinary environment and collaborating with senior specialists, project managers and field staff to drive sites to closure

You will have a background in:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma with emphasis on soil science and/or reclamation

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in supervising oilfield surface reclamation activities and completing reclamation assessments

  • Thorough knowledge of AER Reclamation Criteria and Guidelines

  • Knowledge of reclamation certificate application process

  • Knowledge of agriculture and oilfield construction practices

  • Experience balancing priorities and multi tasking

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Willingness to travel

  • Excellent safety attitude
