Golder has a new opportunity for ProjectGeotechnical Engineer to join our Manchester, New Hampshire; Westborough, Massachusetts; or Southern Maine office locations to work as part of a team on civil, geotechnical and geological engineering projects. In this role you will have the opportunity to perform geotechnical evaluations and calculations, write technical documents, conduct subsurface investigations, and provide field monitoring, testing, and sampling for a variety of projects. Assignments may include travel to remote locations and outside work in various climates.
Responsibilitiesof the role will include:
Scope,budget, execute, and interpret subsurface explorations, with senior technicaladvice and review;
Preparegeotechnical data reports, calculations and modeling;
Preparegeotechnical recommendations reports with senior review;
Performgeotechnical analyses with computer models for pile and drilled shaftfoundation capacities, slope/embankment stability, MSE wall foundation design,and foundation/embankment settlement estimates;
Abilityto work with a team or with minimal supervision, and with contractors andcross-discipline in-house designers;
Bewilling and able to work on projects across sectors, performing a variety ofsuitable tasks as projects demand;
Assistwith writing reports, cost estimating, specifications, and permit documentswith senior technical advice and review;

The successfulcandidate will have a background in:
Candidates should have a BS in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering orGeologic Engineering;
A minimum of 3 years of experience is required, at least one yearof experience in the civil, geotechnical, mining and/or environmentalengineering field is preferred;
The candidate should have excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills combined with excellent analytical abilities, leadershipability, a positive attitude and ability to work both independently and withingroups
The position requires travel and field work as dictated by projectdemands
Additional desirable skills include: field logging and sampling,experience with slope stability, settlement, earth retention, foundations,general civil design experience, construction experience, rock engineering, orother geotechnical analyses
A willingness to perform a variety of assignments on short noticeis valuable
Experience and proficiency with AutoCAD and ArcGIS is preferred
Competence in the Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel,and PowerPoint) is necessary
Focused organization and time management abilities
Authorization to work in the United States
Pass a pre-employment physical including a drug screening andbackground check
A clean driving record
MS in Geotechnical or Geologic Engineering is preferred;
5 years of experience is required, at least one year of experience in the civil, geotechnical, mining and/or environmental engineering field is preferred;
Candidates with a FE/EIT/PE registration preferred.
