Golder has a new opportunity for a Civil Engineer to join our team in a Full-Time position at our Houston, Texas office. You will be a part of a multi-disciplinary team of professionals supporting a variety of civil, oil and gas, and water resource projects.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide planning, analysis, design and construction expertise for civil engineering and large earthworks projects such as landfills, oil and gas sites, power plants or other sites as assigned. As a valued team member, you will also interface and assist our environmental group on a variety of projects. You can expect to be engaged in field work, including construction inspection or groundwater sampling.

Yourprimary responsibilities will include:

  • Performingengineering tasks such as:

  • Permitting;

  • Hydrologicand hydraulic evaluations;

  • Sitelayout;

  • Quantityand cost estimates;

  • Preparationof design drawings and specifications;

  • Constructionoversight and other related field activities;

  • DataCompilation;

  • Preparingportions of technical reports that document field and laboratoryinvestigations, engineering analyses, and facility designs;

  • Performingregulatory file reviews.


  • A Bachelor’sdegree in civil engineering or an equivalent field of study

  • Successfulcompletion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam or the ability tocomplete the exam within 6 months of start date

  • Stronganalytical skills including the ability to complete engineering calculationsand analyses

  • Strongwritten and verbal communication skills

  • Abilityto work both independently and on teams

  • Comfortableworking in remote settings

  • Anactive focus on health and safety for themselves and others

  • Workexperience and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D


  • Atleast two years of relevant work experience

  • Relevantinternship or co-op experience
