Golder has a new opportunity for a Project Environmental Scientist to join our team in a Full-Time position in one of our Houston,Texas offices.
Yourprimary responsibilities may include:
Performing field-based tasks such asmulti-media sampling; soil boring and monitoring well installations; lithologiclogging; and aquifer testing;
Collecting and managing field andanalytical data from investigations. Interpreting hydrogeological informationand developing conceptual site models (CSMs) for assessment and remediationprojects;
Writing technical reports;
Coordinating with contractors (e.g.,drillers and analytical laboratories) to support project-specific objectives;
Performing/supporting environmentalcompliance projects, including Spill Prevention Control and CountermeasuresPlan (SPCC) preparation, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan Preparation(SWPPP), and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) permitting;
Managing environmental siteinvestigation, remediation, and/or compliance projects, including all budgetsand deliverables;
Communicating with team members andclients; and
Mentoringjunior staff and overseeing preparation of their reports and calculations
BS inGeology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of professionalexperience.
Professional Geologist designation,or ability to obtain registration, in the relevant jurisdiction(s).
Strong attention to detail withexcellent analytical and judgment capabilities.
Ability to perform field-basedtasks.
Availability for overnighttravel.
Strong technical and communicationskills.
MSin Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Experiencewith implementation of assessment, investigation, remediation and monitoringtasks related to environmental projects.
Experience in environmental consulting.
OSHA40-Hour HAZWOPER training.
