Golder Associates Inc. is currently seeking a Sr. CAD Designer for the Walnut Creek office.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
Work closely with the various ground engineering disciplines including mine and storm water design, by providing engineering 2D and 3D drafting and design services,
Prepare engineering plans, profiles, sections and details, for design, tender, construction and as-constructed drawing sets; and figures for proposals, reports and presentations,
Compile and/or Model 3D surfaces representing various ground engineering features such as graded terrain, tailings depositions, haul roads, dams, open pits, quarries, landfills, channels and ponds,
Perform volume calculations and perform QA/QC procedures,
Be skilled in Civil 3D methods of plan production,
Possess a strong understanding of storm water systems,
Be well versed in BIM/CIM processes.
Experience in Pipleline design and process plant design.
The preferred candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
10 years (minimum) experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D. GIS a plus.
Certification or Diploma from an accredited Technical School or College in CADD/Engineering Technology, or equivalent.
Practical knowledge in an efficient production environment of the following primary software is essential: AutoCAD, AutoDesk Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office,
Very strong oral and written communication skills,
Very strong organizational skills and detail-oriented,
Good problem solver with the ability to identify alternative solutions,
Strong sense and commitment to CAD standards and procedures,
Ability to prioritize multiple projects/tasks and respond to the needs of several people,
Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure,
Valid U.S. drivers license
