Golder has a new opportunity for a Senior CAD Technician in Houston, Texas for a Full-Time position.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Produce plan sets to include standard drawings and engineering details in accordance with company standards

  • Prepare civil designs using the most modern and efficient tools within AutoCAD and Civil 3D

  • Perform grading and design functions including, but not limited to, problem analysis, design layout, surface generation and manipulation, volumetric calculations, and as-built survey evaluation.

  • Manage the production of multiple drawings and multiple projects at the same time

  • Use good judgment to identify alternatives to assist in the resolution of design problems

  • Using limited information from the engineering team, create high level design packages

  • Manage time efficiently which includes planning, organizing, prioritizing, and following through on a variety of tasks to meet deadlines


  • Fiveto seven years of civil design using AutoCAD and Civil 3D 2016\2017 or similarsystems is required.

  • Certificationor Diploma from an accredited Technical School or College in CADD/EngineeringTechnology, or equivalent and relevant working experience.

  • Experiencewith studying scope of work documents & produce basic drawings and materialtake-offs (MTOs).

  • Experiencewith checking drawings, i.e., reviews and check the work of junior draftspersonto ensure accuracy and correctness prior to issuance of drawings forconstruction and bill of materials (BOM) for procurement.

  • Strongoral and written communication skills and strong organizational skills.

  • Strongproblem-solving skills with the ability to identify alternative solutions.

  • Strongsense and commitment to CAD standards and procedures.

  • Abilityto prioritize multiple projects/tasks and respond to the needs of severalpeople.

  • Abilityto meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
