Golder is currently seeking a Project Geotechnical Engineer , based out of Houston , TX , to join a multi-disciplinary team of professionals supporting a variety of geotechnical, civil, waste, power, mining, oil and gas, and water resource projects.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide analysis, design and construction support for civil engineering and large earthworks projects such as landfills, mines, oil and gas sites, power plants or other sites as assigned.
Responsibilities of the role will include: :
Performing and/or overseeing field investigations (geotechnical borings, piezometer installation, CPT investigations)
Geotechnical evaluations including stability analysis, settlement analysis, seismic analysis, foundation design
Preparing geotechnical reports, proposals and other deliverables
Assisting with soils laboratory testing, data processing, and evaluation
Construction oversight and other construction related field activities
Maintaining existing client relationships and developing new business opportunities
Local applicants will receive preferred consideration.
The successful candidate will have a background in:
Master’s degree in Engineering with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering
PE or the ability to obtain a PE
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
Current Passport or ability to get a passport
Client focused attitude

Strong interpersonal communication
