Golder Associates is currently seeking a Staff Technician to work out of our Irvine, CA office to assist with groundwater sampling and field data collection.
Responsibilities of the role will include:
Conduct monitoring events that may include following standards and procedures for sampling of groundwater, soil gas, soil, sediment, surface water, and landfill gas.
Maintain remediation systems
Assist in the operation and maintenance of landfill gas control and treatment systems.
Perform field measurements and calculations
Record and compile field data using tablets and field meters
Perform assigned office duties, such as data entry, bulk mailings, borehole logs, presentation of data, support report preparation,
Coordinate and communicate with client representatives, subcontractors, homeowners, and Golder employees
Willingness to travel for field assignments as dictated by project demands (including to remote locations and outside work in various climates up to 50% of time)
High school diploma
Three years of relevant experience
Ability to independently complete field assignments and summarize field data for use in reporting
Proficient MS Office skills and data collection tablets
Ability to safely lift 40 pounds
Strong commitment to safety, including following established Health and Safety protocols
Strong initiative, problem-solving and communication skills, and attention to detail
Good verbal and written communication skills and a professional attitude
Two-year technical degree in the field of engineering, environmental sciences, or related discipline
40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER
Hands-on field experience, including familiarity/experience with groundwater and soil sampling techniques and field procedures.
