Golder has a new opportunity for an experienced EHS Compliance and Management Specialist in Pensacola,Florida , to serve our industrial clients.
This individual will provide technical support on a variety of EHS compliance projects including, but not limited to:
Serving as temporary on-site EHS compliance specialist for ourindustrial clients
Conducting field assignments, such as performing EHS compliance audits, assistingwith program implementation, conducting training, chemical inventoryassessments, job hazard assessments and similar assignments;
Developing programs and conducting assessments to support clients’ ISO14001/45001 and OHSAS 18001 EHS management systems;
EHS compliance program support for industrial clients includingdeveloping procedures and permits, preparing and submitting periodic regulatoryreports, and preparing EHS training programs;
Preparing technical reports, including documentation of audits and fieldinvestigative procedures, data management and interpretation, and developmentof graphical and tabular presentation of data.
Experience conducting EHS due diligence assessments.
This position requires travel to and work at client sites for information gathering and client meetings. This individual should expect to spend up to 50% of their work time at client sites in the Gulf Coast region and throughout the United States. Individual trips for compliance audits and similar tasks generally last 2 to 5 days; however, secondments to clients to serve as onsite EHS specialist may last 6 weeks or longer. This individual should be able to conduct visual inspections at industrial facilities, including climbing ladders and walking up stairs. The individual will gain increasing responsibility for project and proposal management through training provided by Golder and will work closely with our senior EHS compliance and management practitioners and project managers to grow our service area. Interacting with clients and regulators to meet task and budget requirements is a key to success in this position.
The successful candidate will have a background in:
Bachelor's Degree (Master’s preferred) in Environmental Science,Environmental, Chemical, or Safety Engineering, or similar scientificdiscipline
Minimum of 5 years of related experience
Knowledge of and experience with reviewing and applying Federal, state,and local EHS regulations
Experience developing and auditing EHS programs in industrial settingspreferred
Experience with EHS management systems, ISO 14001/45001; formal auditortraining is preferred
Consulting experience including proposal writing, project management,and business development is required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and web-based applications
