Golder has a new opportunity for a ProjectEngineer to join the mine waste engineering practice in our Denver, Colorado location.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Workingwith project teams on civil, geotechnical, and mining projects

  • Managingprojects or project tasks and providing oversight of and technical directionfor junior staff

  • Performingengineering analyses such as:

  • Siteand material characterization

  • Slopestability, seepage, consolidation, and settlement

  • Surfacewater management

  • Preparingreports documenting field and laboratory investigations, engineering analyses,and facility designs

  • Preparingproject design packages including technical drawings, specifications,schedules, and cost estimates

  • Communicatingwith clients and developing scopes of work

  • Developingplans for and conducting domestic and international field assignments, such as inspections,investigations, and construction monitoring

  • Preparing and implementing project health andsafety plans

The preferred candidate will possess thefollowing skills and attributes:

  • ABachelor’s Degree in geotechnical engineering or an equivalent field ofstudy (preference may be given to candidates with a graduate degree in arelevant field of study)

  • Atleast 4 years of relevant work experience

  • Licensureas a Professional Engineer or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire, orlicensure as Professional Engineer

  • Skilland experience with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD Civil 3D, GeoStudio, and RocscienceSlide

  • Strongengineering skills and ability to complete geotechnical calculations and analyses

  • Experiencewith geotechnical investigation activities such as soil sampling, logging, in-situtesting, instrumentation installation, and groundwater sampling andgeotechnical laboratory testing

  • Detailedoriented with strong analytical skill and a positive attitude as well as theability to work both independently and on teams

  • Comfortablein remote settings, with a can-do attitude, and a willingness to perform avariety of tasks as needed to complete an assignment and satisfy projectdemands

  • Anactive focus on health and safety for themselves and others
