Golder Associates Network Engineer in LAS CONDES, Chile

  • Support existing enterprise network systems and provide monthly metrics for network availability and bandwidth usage and other metrics

  • Participate in the deployment and operation of new SD-WAN platform to support a broad range of business and technical initiatives

  • Monitor and maintain network interfaces to ensure its highest level of performance and make modifications and enhancements.

  • Use network management tools to discover, map, and maintain the network.

  • Maintain responsibility for network equipment operating system (OS) version upgrades.

  • Manage EOL process and technology refresh for network hardware and software.

  • Liaison with other regional and Global IT Service teams at Golder.

  • Display a ‘safety first’ attitude in line with an interdependent health and safety culture, promote positive health and safety, raise safety issues through the appropriate channels and adhere to Golder health and safety policies and procedures.

  • Act in the spirit of Golder’s values and do not misinterpret their meaning. Always adhere to the Code of Conduct and raise concerns as appropriate. Regularly familiarize self with the Code of Conduct and how it is applicable to own role/position within Golder; and

Skills and Qualifications


  • Experience working in a large, enterprise network environment, providing network configuration and troubleshooting support;

  • Competency in Cisco routing and switching platforms (IOS, IOS XE and NexusOS);

  • Experience with troubleshooting data centre technologies including VDCs, and VRFs, as well as troubleshooting routing IGP and EGP such as OSPF, EIGRP and BGP;

  • Experience with LAN/WAN interfacing – Including Software defined network, SD-WAN, and Cloud connectivity;

  • Experience with Cisco DMVPN and other IPSEC technologies;

  • Experience performing network packet inspection and traffic analysis;

  • Experience with Cisco ASA and Firepower firewall platforms;

  • Experience with Cisco ISE and ACS;

  • Experience with Cisco wireless technologies;

  • Experience with F5 BIG-IP load balancers;

  • Ability to document procedures and keep network diagrams and other documentation up to date;

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification;

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (in English);

  • Good attention to detail; and

  • Analytical, problem-solving approach.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience;

  • 4 years of professional experience as a network engineer managing enterprise networks and data centres;

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional Routing and Switching certification;

  • Experience with Cisco SD-WAN platform (Viptela);

  • Experience with Cisco telephony technologies (Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Unity Connection, Cisco Unified Border Element);

  • Experience with Audiocodes SBC platform;

  • Experience with Cisco DNA Center platform;

  • Experience with QOS and voice traffic optimization for Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams and CUCM; and

  • An understanding of ITIL Service Management.
