Golder Associates Environmental Geologist in MANCHESTER, New Hampshire

Golder has a new opportunity for a Geologist to join our New England Operations team in a Full-Time position.

Our ideal candidate has a background in Geology, Environmental Science, or Hydrogeology. This position is located in our Manchester, NH or Westborough, MA offices. In this role, you will participate in environmental projects that involve field investigations, subcontractor oversight, technical document preparation, task management, and working as a team with coworkers.

Yourprimary responsibilities will include:

  • Completesubsurface site investigations including completing drilling observation, soilclassification, and well installation

  • Completegroundwater, surface water, and soil sampling

  • Datainterpretation and report writing

  • Preparegeologic boring logs, cross-sections, groundwater contour maps andiso-concentration maps

  • Workon the operation, maintenance and monitoring of remedial systems

  • CompletePhase I environmental site assessments and Phase II contaminated siteinvestigations

  • Utilizespecialized computer skills including database applications, groundwater andcontaminant modeling software, and/or gINT


  • ABachelor’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science or a closelyrelated field

  • Abilityfor extended local, national, and/or international overnight travel andfieldwork, based on project demands. Field work may include travel to remotelocations and outside work in various climates and terrains.

  • Strongand effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficiencyin the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and Outlook)

  • Willingnessto operate and maintain field testing and monitoring equipment, and ability tolift 50 pounds


  • Completed40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER health and safety training, with 8-hour refresher updates,as applicable
