Golder has a new opportunity for a Principal Hydrogeologist to join our Mine Water group on a full-time basis based in Brisbane.
Key duties and responsibilities include:
Deliver technical reviews and advice onhydrogeological issues to internal and external clients.
Build reputation internally and externally asConsulting Leader in Golder’s Mine Water Group.
Develop and implement plans that build clientrelationships and create project contacts.
Understand and interpret the national and localmarket, highlighting prospects and stewarding them to opportunities andproposals.
Develop and manage best practice approaches andtechnologies for hydrogeological assessment and related decision-making.
Develop and implement scopes of work (costedproposals) for projects related to:
characterisation and conceptualisation ofhydrogeological systems;
groundwater supply development;
groundwater inflow assessments;
dewatering and depressurisation;
managed aquifer recharge.
Lead teams in delivery of groundwatermanagement advice to clients in predominantly the mining industry howeveradvice maybe required across a range of industry sectors including oil and gas,infrastructure and waste management.
Manage projects including project scoping,budget control, planning, development of schedules and coordination ofresources to meet completion deadlines.
Support the implementation of the Mining,Aus/NZ and AMEA Golder strategies.
Lead, mentor and coach colleagues with respectto their career growth and technical professional development and activelytransfer knowledge.
Provide leadership and drive a strong culturein the areas of Health, Safety, Sustainability and Environment.
Keep abreast of advancing technologies, methodsand research & development.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
Demonstrated experience in the consulting industry and demonstrated business acumen.
Proficient project management skills including budgeting, scheduling activities and service delivery.
Experience in groundwater programs, development and assessment.
Strong client development and relationship skills.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
High level of verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
Experience in planning, designing, costing and management of groundwater projects.
Excellent time management skills
A Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Engineering or related discipline.
Post-graduate degree in Hydrogeology is highly regarded
Registered Chartered Professional, or a willingness to work towards chartered status and a member of a related professional body preferable .
