Golder has a new opportunity for an Administrative Assistant to join our team on a full time basis based in Mississauga . As the Administrative Assistant, you will utilize your exceptional administrative and organizational skills to support this office.

An overview of your role will include:

  • Answering phone, directing incoming calls and greeting clients

  • Maintaining and updating sign-in/out sheet, and electronic tracking

  • Ordering of taxi cabs as necessary

  • Processing of all incoming and outgoing couriers

  • Distributing mail

  • Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of meeting room set-ups, including scheduling, ordering and set-up of catering, table and equipment etc.

  • Ensuring kitchen is tidy and coffee machine stocked

  • Operate office equipment and troubleshooting

  • Word processing, data entry, scanning documents, uploading files and filing as required

  • Sending and receiving faxes, photocopying

  • Ordering internal business cards and other office supplies

  • Project material assembly and project research

  • Working on internal projects

  • Acquiring Insurance Certificates and other similar documents

  • Archiving projects, typing and preparing project reports

  • General administration duties as assigned (letter preparation, memos, etc.)

  • Other duties as required

You will have the following background and attributes:

  • Completion of an Office Administration Diploma, or equivalent is an asset

  • At least 2 to 5 years of experience in administrative, office environment is an asset

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Well-developed organizational and time-management skills

  • Must be proficient in MS Office suite of applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat

  • Demonstrate good judgement

  • Flexible to new ideas and challenges and is highly motivated

  • Enthusiastic and versatile, willing to take on responsibility and demonstrate initiative

  • The individual must be able to work collaboratively and develop effective working relationships with the team
