Golder has a new opportunity for an EnvironmentalAssessment Coordinator to join our Environmental Assessment(EA) team on a contractual basis based in the GreaterToronto Area (GTA) or remotely . The successful candidate will be part of the EA team responsible for conducting EA’s, supporting consultation and engagement activities with external stakeholders and preparing EA documentation for power, infrastructure and mining projects. The EA team is also responsible for managing multi-disciplinary teams during the environmental permitting and construction/post-construction monitoring stages of projects.
Your role willinclude:
Providinglogistical support for and/or participating in meetings and consultation eventsincluding preparing meeting notes
Writing,compiling, and editing engagement materials, engagement records and environmentalimpact assessment report sections
Providinglogistical support for environmental field programs
AssistingIntermediate and Senior EA practitioners in the preparation and implementationof consultation and engagement plans
AssistingIntermediate and Senior EA practitioners in the management of largeinter-disciplinary and multi-stakeholder EA, environmental permitting andenvironmental construction monitoring projects, including project scheduling,tracking budgets, and preparing regular progress reports
Coordinatingtechnical work of others ensuring deliverables are provided in a timely manner
You will have a background in:
Master’sof Environment and Sustainability (M.E.S), and/or Master’s or Bachelor ofScience Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, orEnvironmental Engineering
1-2years of relevant work experience
Excellentwriting, organizational, and management skills
Detailoriented and can work independently with limited direction but also as part ofa team
Focusand commitment to providing quality deliverables in a timely fashion
Abilityto function in a team setting, accept responsibility, and work to deadlines
Abilityto travel between offices in the GTA required
Experience/familiarity withconsultation and engagement support, including engagement tracking software(e.g. Borealis, Staketracker) would be an asset
Experience/familiarity withthe environmental planning of power, infrastructure or mining projectswould be an asset
