Golder has a new opportunity for a Project Administrator to join our Contaminated Sites team on a full-time basis based in Mississauga or the GTA.

The role of the Project Administrator is to provide support to Senior Project Managers in the team, by assisting with the financial, administrative, and logistical aspects of project management as delegated by the PM. Candidates with sufficient experience and demonstrated ability would be provided growth opportunities within the role, taking on progressively greater project management responsibilities and becoming more client-facing.

An overview of your role will include:

  • Setting up and coordinating the project to ensure quality management processes and/or plans are met

  • Assisting with the development of the Work Breakdown Structure

  • Assisting with the development of the project schedule

  • Setting up and maintaining budgets and expenditures

  • Assisting with developing and tracking HSSE requirements and associated plans

  • Planning/scheduling project team travel requirements and logistics

  • Preparation, review, and maintenance of project contracts and other documentation for sub-consultants, contractors, and vendors

  • Interfacing with the accounting team to ensure compliance with client invoicing requirements, preparation of invoices, and assisting with the facilitation of timely payment

  • Coordinating project team communications, written and verbal, and documenting client meetings, interactions, and activities

  • Compiling regular progress reports for the client, the project team, and other internal and external stakeholders

  • Coordinating data management and information transfer, including setting up and maintaining filing systems, document logs, and action item list

  • Maintaining the document control system for the development and presentation of client deliverables

  • Coordination of deliverables, including organizing technical editing and senior review

  • Document proof-read, edit, format, and compile pdfs for various project deliverables including but not limited to proposals, reports, technical memoranda, scope changes, and letters

  • Coordinating project closing through archiving of project documentation and coordination of lessons learned documentation, client feedback documentation, sub-consultant evaluations, and project experience profiles

You will have a background in:

  • College diploma or University degree in a related field

  • One or more years of experience in related project support in a multi-disciplinary environment

  • Experience in a geotechnical or environmental consulting firm is an asset but not required

  • Experience with scheduling tools (e.g. Primavera P6 or MS Project) common to industry practices is preferred

  • Knowledge of project management principles and PMI’s Body of Knowledge is an asset

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), Adobe, and SharePoint

  • Lifting, moving, and carrying up to 20 lbs may be required
