Golder Associates Water Resources Specialist in MISSISSAUGA, Ontario

Golder has a new opportunity for a Water Resource Specialist to join our Environmental Planning team on a temporary basis based in Mississauga.

An overview of your role will include:

  • Execute field data collection programs

  • Develop and apply hydrological and hydraulic models

  • Perform hydraulic and civil analysis, design and assessment related to river engineering, flood assessments, erosion control, surface water diversions, hydraulic structures, water intakes, pump stations, pipelines, water control structures, and mine water infrastructure

  • Conceptual, preliminary, and detailed engineering for water resources projects

  • Contribute to technical reports and proposals

  • Participate in multi-disciplinary environmental field programs and assessments

You will have a background in:

  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering (with experience or focus on water resources, dams, hydraulic structures, river engineering or water management)

  • Must be eligible for registration as an Engineer-in-Training

  • Experience with field data collection and analysis, modeling, and design would be an asset

  • Good communication, leadership, problem-solving, mentoring, writing, and people skills

  • Exhibit a strong work ethic and a high degree of motivation

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills

  • Team player with the ability to motivate and lead by example

  • Experience with writing technical reports

  • Committed to technical excellence
