Golder has a new opportunity for a Senior EHS Consultant to join our Mount Laurel, N J office. This individual will lead Golder’s local EHS practice and coordinate with other US regional and international practitioners to execute a strategic growth plan. The successful candidate will provide support to grow existing and new manufacturing clients including those in the pharmaceutical and chemical sectors, have demonstrated team leadership skills, and have experience working in a multi-disciplinary organization. He or she will provide professional knowledge and technical expertise in regulatory compliance, permitting, policy/program development, and training.

Responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Business development for EHS services through expanding existing client relations and building new client relations

  • Collaboration and coordination with regional, national, and international EHS practitioners to execute strategic growth plans

  • Senior technical leadership over a broad range of EHS areas including auditing and corrective actions implementation, industrial hygiene, EHS management systems, and permitting

  • Project execution including preparation of proposals and reports along with senior technical review, client and project management, and delivering high quality work products within client schedule requirements

  • Actively mentor staff across the organization

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Master's degree in Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Engineering, or similar discipline preferred; a Bachelor’s degree will be considered with appropriate experience

  • Minimum 12 years EHS experience with a working knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations, including those related to occupational health & safety assessments and programs

  • Professional certification or license (CSP, CIH, PE, CHMM or equivalent) is desirable

  • Business development and client service management skills with a proven track record of developing project opportunities and maintaining successful client relationships; strong existing client relationships and professional contacts are highly desirable

  • Experience conducting compliance audits, developing EHS management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and client specific programs), and supporting environmental permitting for a variety of industrial clients with a focus on manufacturing clients

  • Active in EHS professional organizations, conferences, training, and outreach

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Able to travel as required for project needs and business development purposes

  • Eligible for employment in the US, and pass pre-employment background check and physical including drug screen

  • Priority will be given to local area applicants
