Golder has a new opportunity for a Principal level Contaminated Site Specialist to join our Contaminated Land team on a full-time basis based in Sydney NSW .
Key duties and responsibilities include:
Leadership of project teams on contaminated sites projects, with focus on D&C projects in the transport infrastructure sector
Provide technical review for contaminated sites projects
Technical development and mentoring of more junior members of both the national and local contaminated sites team
Client relationship management including development of relationships with new clients
Providing input into the strategy and direction for the contaminated sites team
An ability to leverage business development opportunities with both existing and new clients
Participate in industry groups and/or expert panels as part of maintaining high industry profile
Liaise with specialists from other disciplines or offices within Golder Associates
Contribute to successful project completion of remediation and contaminated land projects by providing technical expertise, project direction and support to the team
Embrace and lead our strong health, safety and environment culture
Skills and Qualifications
Tertiary qualification in Environmental Engineering, Science or equivalent
Significant years of consulting experience in assessment, remediation and management of contaminated lands
Demonstrated experience on major infrastructure projects, managing environmental components of design and construction packages
Track record of working in teams and positively engaging with various stakeholders
Demonstrated Project Management capability on major projects delivering technically robust outcomes
Ability to understand and manage complex geo-environmental requirements in an optimal manner
Solutions and delivery focus
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
Strong communication and influencing skills to enable delivery of client focused services to a diverse group of professionals
Ability to develop client relationships, engage with clients directly
Draw upon technical expertise of others when required, to deliver the project outcome
