Golder has a new opportunity for a Graduate Hydrogeologist to join our Site Characterisation and Remediation team on a full time basis based in our Tadcaste r NorthYorkshire location. The Hydrogeologist will provide technical groundwater support to intermediate and senior levels within SCR.
Key duties and responsibilities include:
Field work, typically on power, manufacturing and waste sites to include environmental monitoring, supervision of borehole drilling and monitoring well installation, aquifer testing and other field tasks as required;
Collation and quality management of environmental and geotechnical data;
Factual reporting of field data and site condition;
Contribution to projects with a major focus on data collection, processing and starting to undertake interpretation;
Develop and maintain good relationships with both new and existing clients and be able to effectively represent Golder Associates when required;
Work in a collaborative way, taking direction from and supporting intermediate and senior staff, to achieve project goals and meet deadlines as part of the UK Site Characterisation and Remediation Team;
Support Project Managers in business development activities, proposals and other related administrative tasks;
Project based travel and site work, predominantly in the UK, with the possibility of supporting international projects. The frequency and duration of this will depend on business and client need;
Display a ‘safety first’ attitude in line with an interdependent health and safety culture, promoting positive health and safety, raising safety issues through the appropriate channels and adhering to Golder’s health and safety policy and procedures;
Act in the spirit of Golder’s values and do not misinterpret their meaning. Adhere to the Code of Conduct at all times and raise concerns as appropriate. Regularly familiarise self with the Code of Conduct and how it is applicable to own role/position within the organisation; and

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
Ideally a Masters in Hydrogeology;
Good technical and report writing skills;
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written (in English);
Ability to work in a collaborative manner as part of a team;
Ability to make decisions and display initiative;
Good organisational ability and time management skills;
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Full UK Driving Licence; and
Flexibility, willingness and ability to travel and work away from home, both locally and internationally.
Additional language skills (e.g. French, Spanish, German);
Competency with GIS and modelling tools (e.g. SURFER, ConSim, LandSim).
