Golder Associates Hydrogeologist in NOTTINGHAM, United Kingdom

· Assisting with the development of groundwater conceptual models for mining, waste, and contaminated sites, the preparation of risk assessments for contaminated sites, hydrogeological input to mining (scoping to feasibility studies) and ESIAs for mining, petroleum and other development projects;

· Performing field work on integrated hydrogeological and geotechnical programmes to include monitoring, supervision of borehole drilling and monitoring well installation, aquifer testing (including the use of borehole packers), installation of grouted vibrating wire piezometers, geotechnical logging and testing, core logging and other field tasks as required;

· Project-based travel and site work, working away from home both in the UK and overseas. The frequency and duration of this will depend on business and client need;

· Collation and quality management of environmental, groundwater, and geotechnical data;

· Factual reporting of field data and site condition;

· Supporting the development of client relationships either through project-based client interaction, assisting with maintaining and developing relationships with those clients or through supporting business development efforts of senior staff;

· Observing schedules and ensuring effective performance by co-ordinating available resources to deliver agreed outcomes in quantity, quality and cost of output to meet client (project) needs;

· Managing and participating actively in the development of budgets and plans for projects and proposals;

· Contributing to a positive and collaborative working environment, encouraging the contribution of ideas to continuously improve projects and processes;

· Working in a collaborative manner with multidisciplinary colleagues within Golder as required;

· MSc Hydrogeology (or equivalent - desirable) combined with a first degree in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology or related subject;

· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English;

· Proven report writing skills;

· Ability to display initiative and engage decision making skills;

· Collaborative nature, working openly in a team environment;

· Enthusiasm for the discipline, demonstrating a desire and commitment to Continued Professional Development;

· Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)

· Willingness and ability to travel and work away from home; and

· Full Driving Licence.
