Golder has a new opportunity for a Intermediate Environmental Management Systems Analyst to join our team on a full-time basis based in Sudbury.
Golder in Canada has an immediate opening for an Intermediate Environmental Management Systems Analyst . The ideal candidate will be based in and work from Sudbury. However consideration will be given to candidates residing in other regions of Ontario. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, most Golder staff are currently working from home offices and we expect, as a natural evolution of our business, that working from home offices will become a common and accepted practice.
The successful candidate will execute projects that primarily service Golder’s mining clients. These projects will focus on development, implementation and assessment of environmental management systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of ISO14001:2015 environmental management systems and several years of operational working experience in the mining industry or manufacturing. Previous consulting experience will be considered an asset. Complementary experience in occupational health and safety will also be considered an asset.
An overview of your role will include:
Providing proposal development, project execution, client relationship management, and project management
Developing programs and procedures, performing audits and analyses, and providing training to support clients’ ISO 14001 or other environmental management systems
Providing technical excellence in management system and compliance auditing, management systems development and implementation projects, hazard / risk identification, assessment and controls, emergency preparedness and response planning, pollution prevention planning and due diligence, as appropriate
Preparing technical reports, including documentation of audits and field investigative procedures, data management and interpretation, and development of graphical and tabular presentation of data
Liaising with and, to the extent necessary, providing support to, other Golder discipline teams
Providing input into business planning, meeting with existing and new Golder clients and developing opportunities
You will have a background in:
A bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering within a relevant field such as environmental science, environmental engineering, or a similar scientific discipline
At least three (3) years of relevant consulting or industry experience; preference will be given to candidates with strong industrial acumen and experience in the environmental field
Experience and training in environmental auditing
Preference will be given to candidates with operational experience in ISO14001 environmental management systems within the mining or manufacturing sectors
