Golder has a new opportunity for an Environmental Chemist to work out of our Redmond, Washington office.

Responsibilities of therole will include:

  • Assisting with generalfield sampling (soil, groundwater surface water, and air).

  • Coordinating sampleanalyses with laboratories;

  • Performing datavalidation of analytical results;

  • Preparing sampling and analysisplans (SAPs) and quality assurance project plans (QAPPs);

  • Providing databasesupport for a variety of projects; assisting in report writing and preparation.

The successful candidate will have a backgroundin:

  • Minimum BS degree in environmentalsciences or chemistry.

  • A minimum of 2 years ofexperience in:

  • Field groundwater, soil,and surface water sampling

  • Knowledge of laboratoryanalyses of environmental samples

  • Preparation of SAPs and QAPPs

  • Qualityassurance/quality control methods associated with field sampling and laboratoryanalyses

  • Understanding of validation of analytical data packages inaccordance with USEPA National Functional Guidelines

  • Analysis, formatting,import and export of environmental chemical analysis data

  • Experience using MSAccess and/or other database programs

  • Creating SQL queries ofmoderate complexity and ability to prepare custom data reports

  • Strong oral and writtencommunication skills

  • Ability to plan andsafely execute field programs with knowledge of proper sampling techniques

  • Sample coordination withlaboratories – bottle ordering, analytical methods and completion ofchain-of-custody forms

  • Data organization,management and analysis (including basic statistics).

  • Excel and Wordproficiency


· Experience using EQuIS Data Management Software

· Current HAZWOPER Certification

· MSHA Certification
