Golder has a new opportunity for a Field Technician to join our Redmond, WA office on a Full-Time basis.

Responsibilities:

This individual will be responsible for conducting geotechnical field monitoring including construction inspection, geologic exploration, groundwater well installation, and other related tasks. The successful candidate may also have the opportunity to support environmental site assessment activities including, soil and groundwater sampling, pre-demolition surveys, and related tasks.

Required:

  • A BS in engineering, construction management,physical science, geology, or related field strongly preferred but notrequired.Candidates with equivalentexperience will be considered.

  • This position requires knowledge of generalconstruction or the ability to quickly learn procedures including:reading grading plans, understanding massgrading requirements, and being able to classify soils.

  • Experience with logging soil in support ofgeotechnical investigations, well installation, groundwater level measurement,and related tasks necessary.

  • Position requires reliable transportation to andfrom job sites and a good driving record.

  • Successful candidate must enjoy the outdoors andworking in all weather conditions.

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting andcarrying 50 lbs. is required (often over rough uneven ground).

  • Some travel to out of area job sites may berequired; must be available for some weekend work.

  • Candidate must possess accurate computational,critical thinking and analysis skills; must write and/or print clearly and beable to write clear and concise daily summary reports.

  • Knowledge of basic computer applications (Word,Excel, etc.) required.

Preferred:

  • OSHA 10 Hour Construction training

  • 40 Hour HAZWOPER

  • First Aid/CPR

  • Nuclear Gauge Safety training
