Golder Associates Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Geomechanics Engineer for the Redmond, Washington location. In this role you will have the opportunity to work with highly skilled professionals in the field of oil and mining. Your primary responsibilties will include:

  • Geomechanical and hydrodynamic simulation and analysis of natural, and hydraulic fractures using FracMan software

  • Consulting sales, marketing, client support and project management

  • Simulation for optimization of production from gas shales and fractured carbonate reservoirs

  • Environmental contamination modeling for fractured bedrock

  • Geomechanical simulation of surface and underground mines

Job Requirements

The preferred candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Ph.D. in Reservoir Engineering

  • Advanced training in computational fluid dynamics and geomechanical simulation

  • Five years of experience with the following software: TerraStation II, ELFEN, or PFC3D, Plaxis or Ansys, and FLAC/3D, and project experience with the use of FracMan Reservoir Edition

  • Must be knowledgeable in the fundamentals of geostatistical analysis, fracture analysis, structural geology, and numerical methods including finite element, finite difference, and Lattice-Boltzman simulation

  • Must have a proven track record in consulting sales and geomechanical simulation project execution, including references from major oil company clients

  • Client contacts in Oklahoma, Houston, and South America are particularly valuable
