Golder has a new opportunity for a ProjectCoordinator to join our Mining team in a Full-Time position at our Reno, Nevada office. Reporting to the Group Leader .
Yourprimary responsibilities will include:
Work with the EngineeringManager/Project Manager to plan projects (scope, budgets, and schedule)
Define executable Work BreakdownStructures (WBS) that align schedule, cost control and earned value analysis
Communicate with the project team tomonitor and control budgets, analyze cost variances and performance metrics
Provide timely updates on projectcontrols, progress and forecasting trends to the Engineering Manager/ProjectManager, flagging budget or schedule issues
Plan and manage project schedulesincluding critical path analysis and help the team achieve milestone dates
Identify change, implement changemanagement processes, and actively communicate with the internal project teamand clients
Manage project invoicing and progressreporting to the client
Contribute to proposal efforts
Support project health and safetyrequirements
Implement QA/QC procedures on projectdeliverables
Work closely with clientrepresentatives, project managers, and engineering discipline leads to supportproject delivery
The successful candidate will possess the followingskills and qualifications:
Degree in Engineering, Science,Business, or Economics or related discipline with exposure to financialmanagement
3 to 5 years of experience in projectmanagement
Proven record of successfully deliveringprojects, either as a project manager or coordinator, to budget and schedule
Proven experience of change managementon projects
Clear understanding of Earned ValueManagement and Project Management Systems
Excellent analytical and communicationskills
Excellent working knowledge of allMicrosoft Office applications, especially Excel
Basic understanding of schedulingprinciples and tools
Ability to communicate appropriatelywith clients and senior staff
Highly motivated with an ability to workunder minimal supervision
Flexible, can-do attitude and enjoyworking as part of a collaborative team
Strong attention to detail and resultsoriented
Experience in an engineering orconstruction setting
Project ManagementProfessional (PMP) certification or working towards a PMP
