Golder has a new opportunity for a Bid Specialist based where you are, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth. This role will focus on coordinating and guiding the processes and activities related to Golder’s Australian pursuits and proposal responses across all sectors in which Golder operates with a particular emphasis on Defence and Mining sectors.

Some travel may be required to successfully and efficiently deliver on this role.
Key duties and responsibilities will include:
Collaborating with the Sector Leads, Proposal/Bid Managers and Partners and related capture teams to convert opportunities into the delivery of high-quality bids and proposals;
Overseeing bids for identified high value opportunities, creating the win strategy, writing parts of the bid response, editing inputs from others and assisting to polish final drafts to ensure win themes, client understanding and strong key messaging and compliance with tender documents;
Working closely with the Technical and Functional teams across the region in the preparation and coordination of proposals for identified high value pursuits;
Analysing bid and pursuit reporting, internal and external feedback, and outcomes to support continuous improvement of overall quality, win rates, activity and identifiable trends; and
Working with the bid team to continuously improve team capability in the application of win strategy techniques.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
Extensive experience in bid and pursuit management in a professional services firm, engineering consulting or other relevant engineering industry environment, will be highly regarded;
Ability to identify, understand and communicate the value proposition and benefits to client’s business requirements;
Demonstrated experience working in bid and pursuit management and producing winning bids, and delivering winning strategies;
Strong bid process knowledge, bid management capability and stakeholder engagement, writing, time and project management skills;
Ability to transform technical information into clear, compelling, succinct content for proposals across public and private sectors;
Strong experience in industry CRM tools such as Salesforce, Dynamics, Oracle CX or equivalent will be highly regarded; and
Ability to work independently and cooperatively working with a large and diverse group of stakeholders internally, across Australia.
