Golder has a new opportunity for a Geotechnical Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis based in Melbourne . You will be working on a variety of civil and mining infrastructure projects.
Key duties and responsibilities will include:
Providing technical advice on complex geotechnical issues to clients and internal stakeholders;
Assisting with project planning and deliverables of technical complexity;
Coordinating and/or conducting geotechnical investigations including interpreting geotechnical data, performing analysis and drawing conclusions/ recommendations;
Preparing geotechnical reports and undertaking field assignments;
Preparing proposals and reports for clients with appropriate senior review;
Maintaining client contact and customer liaison; and
Identifying safety hazards and completing OH&S incident reporting.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field, as well as 5 yours relevant experience in
Geotechnical Engineering within a consulting firm or similar;
Solid fieldwork experience in various geological conditions;
Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail;
Well-developed oral and written communication skills; and
Good Project Management skills and the ability to establish and build relationships with clients.
