Golder Associates Project Technician/Engineer in Richmond, Australia

As a Project Technician/Engineer, you will be working within the Melbourne office as part of our instrumentation team to deliver installation of geotechnical instrumentation, data logging and telemetry equipment on mining and construction site nationally across Australia under the direction of a senior.

Using your geotechnical instrumentation expertise you will support the project manager from tender through to installation on site to achieve successful technical delivery of projects.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Procurement and fabrication of geotechnical instrumentation and data logging systems.

  • Bench testing, packing and freight of above to mining and construction sites in Australia.

  • Site installation and commissioning of above on mining and construction sites in Australia.

  • Client and project manager, liaison during site works.

  • Maintenance of Golder Health and Safety Systems on site.

  • Maintenance of Golder Quality Assurance Systems on site.

  • Delivery of installation reports to clients incorporating senior staff review.

  • Maintenance of installation equipment and tools between site trips.

You will have relevant geotechnical instrumentation experience and will preferably be qualified with a suitable degree, diploma or trade qualification. You will be able to demonstrate your technical expertise in data logging with commercial stand-alone loggers (Campbell Scientific preferred) and telemetry systems such as IP/Wireless/Radio/Satellite. It is expected you will have a good problem solving skills and a high level of attention to detail.
